Soirée de fin de saison du VARAC - End of Season VARAC Party
Nous avons passé en revue la saison 2009 et présenté un programme préliminaire de la saison 2010 qui s'annonce très active, avec la possibilité de trois fins de semaine au Circuit Mont-Tremblant.
Our End of season Party was a great success with some 30 people present, including several newcomers interested in Vintage racing. Were also present two FSAQ representatives, Caroline Biron and Denis Cadotte, as well as Walter Davies, Varac President. All are looking forward to 2010 with the possibility of THREE events at Circuit Mont-Tremblant.
La conversation a aussi porté sur les régles d'admissibilité des voitures et comment faire pour accroître la participation dans les catégories Historique/Vintage (pré-1972). A cet effet, une proposition sera présentée à l'Assemblée générale annuelle (AGA) du Varac qui se tiendra le samedi 28 novembre 2009 (invitation ci-jointe) à Toronto. Nous invitons tous les membres qui ne pourront pas assister à l'AGA de communiquer avec Phil Cooper pour lui transmettre la procuration qui leur permettra de voter: pandscooper@videotron.ca
We have also discussed eligibility to the Vintage/Historic categories and how to increase participation. A proposal will presented to this effect at the Varac Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held Novembre 28, 2009 in Toronto (invitation attached). Members who wish to cast their vote are invited to contact Phil Cooper who will carry proxies to the AGM: pandscooper@videotron.ca

For those wanting to use a small, cheap and effective video camera in their race car, I can suggest the Aiptek ISDV 2.4) which I am using after a frustrating (and expensive) experience with a higher-end camera (too heavy, a lot of vibrations). Got the camera on eBay, such as this one:

La soirée de fin de saison du Club VARAC a été un beau succès. Une trentaine de personnes ont répondu à l'invitation (photos) et nous avons eu le plaisir d'accueillir plusieurs nouveaux qui s'intéressent aux courses de voitures historiques. Étaient aussi de la partie deux représentants de la FSAQ, Caroline Biron et Denis Cadotte, ainsi Walter Davies, président du Varac, venu de Toronto.
